CHICAGO MAN HITS LUCKY 5 IN HAMMOND

INDIANAPOLIS – Chicago-native Abraham Bey makes a special trip to Indiana every week to buy gas and Hoosier Lottery tickets. He's being doing it for years, playing his own special numbers in Lucky 5. On February 6, he was in a hurry to get home, so he opted for a quick pick ticket instead of his own trusty numbers.
As luck would have it, that random quick pick ticket matched all five numbers and won him $50,000!
"I was just in a hurry," said Bey.
The winning numbers in the Lucky 5 Evening draw Friday, Feb. 6 were: 7, 16, 20, 30, 33.
"I saw the numbers on the news that night. I couldn't believe it," said Bey. "Then I double checked in the paper the next day. I was happy! Wow!"
Bey bought his winning ticket at Luke's # 236 at 10770 Indianapolis Blvd. in Hammond.
Bey is a Child Welfare Attendant with Chicago Public Schools. He made the trip from Chicago to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis February 12 to claim his prize. With his winnings he plans to tithe his church and put new tires on his car.
