SACRAMENTO – The winner of a California Lottery Fantasy 5 ticket worth $287,781 has stepped forward to claim his prize.
The man, who requested anonymity, was recently laid off from his job as a factory worker and is thankful for this “blessing.” He does not yet know what he will do with the money and for now will “put it in the bank and think about it.”
The ticket was purchased for the February 7 drawing from Chinatown Express, which is located at 5201 Whittier Boulevard.
Fantasy 5 offers some of the best odds of any California Lottery game. A player wins the Fantasy 5 jackpot simply by matching five numbers out of a field of 39. The top prize starts at $50,000 and can top $500,000 depending on how many times it rolls over (similar to SuperLOTTO Plus® and MEGA Millions®). Winning numbers are drawn every day.
