ATLANTA – A city of Rockmart employee has paved his way into a lottery win. Harvis McClarity, who works for the city's public works department, won a $150,000 top prize playing the Georgia Lottery's Giant Jumbo Bucks instant game.
The winning ticket was purchased at Village Market, 648 Goodyear Ave., in Rockmart. McClarity scratched it in his truck while getting gas.
"I just sat there and looked at it at first," he said. "I didn't get excited right at that moment. I still don't think it has hit me yet."
A resident of Temple, McClarity, 58, said he plans to pay bills with his lottery win.
