(Madison) — If Thomas Zarda of Antigo wants to go somewhere warm this winter he has a whole world of options.
Nothing short of a trip into space is out of reach for Zarda, who won $200,000 in the Wisconsin Lottery’s January 14th Powerball drawing. Zarda matched the five regular numbers drawn that night, but missed the Powerball to claim his $200,000 prize.
The January 14 winning Powerball numbers were 08, 25, 34, 39 and 46, with a Powerball of 34.
After taxes, Zarda receives $136,500.
Zarda bought his $200,000 winning computer quick pick ticket at Mills Gas Mart, 2511 Neva Rd. in Antigo. For selling that ticket, the store earns $4,000 from the Lottery. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.
