LOTO-QUÉBEC, PROUD PARTNER OF THE QUÉBEC WINTER CARNIVAL

Loto-Québec is pleased to participate in the presentation of the 55th edition of the Québec Winter Carnival, whose theme this year is masquerade. Much to everyone's delight, the most awaited event of the season will be held from January 30 to February 15, 2009. One and all will warm their hearts by participating in the many winter activities that have been scheduled.
The latest edition of the Carnival is sure to wow visitors. Located close to the National Assembly, Place Loto-Québec will provide accommodations for the legendary Bonhomme Carnaval, king of the festivities. Among other Loto-Québec Big Event features, festival-goers will have the opportunity to visit Bonhomme’s frigid Palace, built with over 7,000 blocks of ice, and learn the history of the famous Sainte-Thérèse Street.
Thousands of Quebecers and tourists will have the opportunity to attend the many events presented at Place Loto-Québec, including evening dances on a variety of themes, the “Relève de l'International” snow sculpting competition, souvenir picture taking with Bonhomme as well as the closing event. Don’t miss your chance to meet Bonhomme and his friends on February 15! Continuous entertainment will be provided throughout both Carnival weekends.
The Québec Winter Carnival is a renowned tourist attraction produced thanks to the efforts of over 1,500 volunteers without whom such a large event could not be held. Their involvement and generous commitment ensure that nearly 750,000 visitors will enjoy a lively festival specially designed for the general public as well as free activities associated with Rendez-vous Loto-Québec.
