(Madison) — Wisconsin Lottery players in Antigo ended 2008 and kicked off 2009 in style by winning two Badger 5 jackpot prizes.
On New Year’s Eve, Leslie Rasmussen of Antigo won $18,000 with a Badger 5 ticket purchased from BP South, 335 Superior St., Antigo.
On January 4, Larry Hartman of Antigo won a $65,000 Badger 5 jackpot with a ticket he bought at Kwik Trip, 455 State Hwy. 64 in Antigo.
BP South earns a $360 commission from the Lottery; Kwik Trip earns $1,300. Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.
Badger 5 is a $1 daily lotto game with jackpots that start at $10,000 and grow a minimum of $1,000 a day until they are won. Players win the rolling jackpot by matching their five numbers to the five winning numbers drawn each night.
