NEW JERSEY SELLS THREE WINNING $10,000 TICKETS AS CALIFORNIA PLAYER HITS $46 MILLION JACKPOT

TRENTON , NJ – A player from California won the $46 million Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing held on Friday, January 2. In addition, three lucky New Jersey Lottery players have won the Mega Millions third prize of $10,000. The jackpot now resets to $12 million for the Tuesday, January 6 drawing.
In addition to the Garden State 's three third-prize winners, 47,834 other New Jersey players took home $215,904 in prizes ranging from $2 to $150.
The winning numbers for the Friday, January 2 drawing were: 02, 11, 19, 21, and 34 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 38. The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, January 6 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV –the New Jersey Network.
