Olympia — Charles Donaldson plays Hit 5 each time he fills up his tank at the Port Orchard Albertsons. He has been doing that for about a year, but until now, he hadn’t won big. On Friday, Charles stopped by Albertsons to fill up, he checked the Hit 5 tickets he’d purchased two weeks ago like he usually would, but this time he saw something different, “Winner!” “Holy Moly, $160,000!” said Charles of the prize. “It’s kind of a shock, I can pay the bills, get completely out of debt.” Not to mention cover that trip to the gas station.

Charles works at the Naval Base in Bremerton, and though he is retiring in two years, he called in Friday and requested the day off to celebrate the win. He says he will use the money to pay bills and “update the family cars.”
