MEGA MILLIONS UP TO $207 MILLION!

OLYMPIA — Do you ever dream about whose world you could change with a Mega Millions jackpot? Some lucky Washingtonians may get that chance as the Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $207 million. The lucky winner will have to successfully pick all six winning numbers in this Friday’s drawing if they want to become Washington State’s 590th millionaire.
Two residents of Washington have come close by picking five of the six Mega Millions numbers, with each taking home $250,000.
William Rumsey of La Center is a single working parent. “I still can’t believe it’s true!” exclaimed William. “I wasn’t going to have a Christmas but now I can. This has changed my life.” William didn’t sleep a wink last night after he realized he had won.
He bought his winning Mega Millions ticket last week at his local Glenwood Grocery where he frequently buys gas. “If they didn’t know me before, they will know me now,” chuckled William. He wasn’t sure what prompted him to buy the ticket that day but it couldn’t have come at a better time.
The other mystery $250,000 Mega Millions winner purchased the ticket Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Bellevue Zip Market. Steve Son, owner of Zip Market, couldn’t be more excited to find out who the lucky winner is. “It feels great!” exclaimed Steve. “We’ve never had a big winner so we are shocked and excited.” If you purchased a ticket at Zip Market last evening you should check your ticket. The winning numbers are 11, 12, 26, 31 and 33.
Mega Millions is the multi-state game with ultra high jackpots. Tickets are $1 and jackpots start at $12 million and rise until there is a jackpot winner. Proceeds from Mega Millions tickets sold in Washington State remain in Washington State.
