$2 MILLION MEGABUCKS JACKPOT FOR EAST LONGMEADOW PLAYER

William A. Allen of East Longmeadow matched all six numbers for the Megabucks drawing on Saturday, November 8, taking home more than $2 million.
His numbers – 13, 25, 28, 36, 39, and 42 – won him the jackpot of $2,014,084. He received his first of 20 annuity checks today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
He bought the lucky ticket at Belmont Texaco in Springfield. The gas station will receive a $15,000 commission on the sale.
Megabucks has been one of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s most popular games for more than a quarter century. Players select six numbers from a field of 42 and win for matching at least three numbers. Megabucks drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday nights and aired on WCVB-Channel 5 at 11:20 p.m.
