(Madison)— Karen Wendricks of De Pere recently won $250,000 playing the Wisconsin Lottery’s $20 “Money Maker” instant scratch game.

The game offers players a chance to win up to 25 times by matching the numbers they scratch with the ticket’s winning numbers. The game has more than $14 million in cash prizes, with a top prize of $250,000.

Wendricks purchased her winning “Money Maker” ticket at Country Crossroads, 6814 Cty. Hwy. W in Greenleaf.

For selling that winning ticket Country Crossroads earns a $5,000 commission from the Wisconsin Lottery. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000 per ticket.
