FREDERICKSBURG MAN WINS $250,000 IN MEGA MILLIONS

Arturo Gouro of Fredericksburg needed some gas on his way to work. He went inside the store and purchased a Mega Millions ticket. A week later he checked the numbers on the Virginia Lottery Web site and realized this was the best gas stop he ever made!
“I told my co-workers and still didn’t believe it myself,” he told Lottery officials. “I asked them to check the numbers again for me!”
Mr. Gouro matched the first five winning numbers in the September 12, 2008, Mega Millions drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 1,12,14,25,35 and the Mega Ball was 38.
He bought his ticket at Signal Hill Mobil, 9640 Liberia Avenue in Manassas. He used the Easy Pick function to pick his numbers.
Mr. Gouro works on architectural concrete drawings and plans to use his money to pay off his education.
