ATLANTA – A lucky feeling turned into a lottery win for one Tifton resident. Leonard Matthews, 78, won a $150,000 top prize playing Giant Jumbo Bucks, a Georgia Lottery instant game.
"I just happened to stop into the store," the great-grandfather of three said.
Matthews purchased the ticket at EZ Mart, 3301 Highway 82 West in Tifton.
"I almost had a heart attack," he recalled. "I was so excited."
The retired Tift County employee plans to install new flooring at his home. He and his wife, Velma, have three adult children and five grandchildren.
"I reckon I feel lucky," Matthews exclaimed. "I consider myself happy."
