NEW JERSEY SELLS ONE WINNING $10,000 TICKET AS MARYLAND PLAYER HITS $24 MILLION JACKPOT

TRENTON , NJ – A player from Maryland won the $24 million Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing held on Tuesday, September 9. In addition, one lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Mega Millions third prize of $10,000. The jackpot now resets to $12 million for the Friday, September 12 drawing.
In addition to the Garden State 's one third-prize winner, 40,619 other New Jersey players took home $160,134 in prizes ranging from $2 to $150.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, September 9 drawing were: 22, 23, 28, 49, and 52 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 02. T he Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Friday, September 12 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV –the New Jersey Network.
