MISSOURI RESIDENT THRILLED WITH KANSAS GAME – WINS $10,000

TOPEKA, KAN. – Last Friday, while working in Kansas, Robert Hight, Sr., decided to try his luck playing a few $2 Diamond Cash instant scratch tickets. The Webb City, Mo., resident was thrilled when he revealed a $10,000 top prize on the third ticket he scratched.
“I like playing Kansas Lottery scratch tickets,” said Hight. “The Diamond Cash game caught my eye, so I thought I’d give it a try. I was excited and shocked at the same time when I realized I’d won $10,000.”
Hight said he was so surprised by his win, he didn’t say a word to anyone.
“The only person that knew besides my wife Doddie was the clerk at the store who checked my ticket,” said Hight.
According to Hight, he was a little nervous having to wait over the holiday weekend before making the trip to Lottery headquarters in Topeka to claim his prize.
“The weekend seemed longer than it was,” said Hight. “I didn’t let that ticket out of my sight. $10,000 is a lot of money to us. It will be nice to pay off a few bills.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Fastrip Store 6, located at 202 E. 12th St. in Baxter Springs.
