CUBS FAN FROM PORTAGE SCORES BIG WITH $250,000

INDIANAPOLIS – Troy Carpenter of Portage loves the Chicago Cubs and thanks to the Hoosier Lottery, he now has plans to buy season tickets since winning the top prize on Scratch-off game $250,000 Jumbo Bucks.
"All of my friends tell me I'm lucky," said Carpenter who claimed the $250,000 prize from Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today.
Carpenter purchased his winning Scratch-off ticket from Family Express #4 at 363 W US Hwy 6 in Valparaiso.
"I actually went in the store to use the restroom since I was at a family benefit outside," said Carpenter. "I just happened to pick up the ticket on my way out."
When Carpenter made it back to his family event, he received hugs from everyone.
"I now have new favorite Aunts!" said Carpenter.
In addition to Cubs season tickets, Carpenter plans to invest some of his winnings into a carpentry business and purchase a new car for his mother.
"And maybe start a family!" said Carpenter who just recently got married.
