ATLANTA – A Lilburn software manager has launched a quarter-million dollar lottery win. Michael Haupt, 56, matched the first five winning numbers in the Sept. 2 Mega Millions drawing and won a $250,000 prize.
The Quik Pik ticket was purchased at QuikTrip #0751, 2949 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville. Winning numbers from the Sept. 2 Mega Millions drawing were: 14-23-43-44-54 and the Mega Ball was 39.
Haupt checked the Georgia Lottery Web site for the results.
"I am pretty excited," the father of two shared.
Although he and his wife, Beth, have no immediate plans for their lottery win, Haupt said he plays the lottery because of the educational programs it funds.
Both of his children attended college as lottery-funded HOPE Scholarship recipients, he said.
