CUSTER COUPLE CLAIMS $200,000 POWERBALL PRIZE
September 2, 2008
(Pierre) – A couple from Custer has claimed the $200,000 Powerball prize won in the Saturday, August 30 drawing.
R.E. Dustman and his wife Edie claimed the prize Tuesday afternoon at the Lottery office in Rapid City. Their ticket matched the five white balls, but not the red Powerball to win the game’s second prize.
The winning "quick pick" ticket was sold at Lynn’s Dakotamart in Custer. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday night is $81 million. Powerball is played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1:146,107,962.
