Steven Ziegelmann of Breckenridge won a $54,883 Northstar Cash jackpot. He claimed the jackpot-winning prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Aug. 22. His ticket was the only ticket sold in Minnesota that matched all five winning numbers (10-13-20-26-30) from the Aug. 7 drawing.

Ziegelmann purchased the winning ticket at Blazer Express, Inc., located at 1020 Highway 75 N. in Breckenridge.

Two Northstar Cash jackpot prizes are still unclaimed: a ticket worth $38,915 from the drawing on July 29, 2008 (sold in Hennepin County) and a ticket worth $28,000 from the drawing on July 16, 2008 (sold in Stearns County). Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.

Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
