BLOCKBUSTER WIN FOR NEW BEDFORD PLAYER

Raymond J. Medina of New Bedford is the 67th Massachusetts State Lottery player to win a $1 million grand prize on the Billion Dollar Blockbuster game. Medina, pictured here with chief of Staff Al Grazioso, received his first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
He bought the lucky ticket at the Loyal Order of Moose lodge in New Bedford. The organization will receive a commission of $10,000 on the sale.
The Billion Dollar Blockbuster – with more than $1 billion in instant prizes -- is the biggest game ever created by an American lottery. The game features 130 instant prizes of $1 million and 10 instant prizes of $10 million. One lucky player will win $1 million a year for life.
