ART GALLERY CO-WORKERS WIN $10,000 PLAYING POWERBALL

DES MOINES, Iowa - A group of co-workers recently cashed in their $10,000-winning Powerball® ticket.
Nancy Bollenbaugh and Dana Brown of West Des Moines and Harold Delaria and James Rombazski of Des Moines won $10,000 in the Aug. 27 Powerball drawing. They purchased their winning ticket at Vina's Store, 2704 Vine St. in West Des Moines.
The group works at Kavanaugh Art Gallery in West Des Moines. The co-workers have been playing Powerball together for six months. They claimed the prize at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines on Thursday.
The winning Powerball numbers for the Aug. 27 drawing were: 13-31-36-48-49. The Powerball was 11. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
If the group had chosen to play the Power Play®, they would have won $20,000.
Players can increase their prizes with the Power Play (except the jackpot) up to five times. The cost is $1 per play.
Just before the Powerball numbers are drawn, the Power Play wheel is spun. Slots on the wheel list the numbers 2 through 5, indicating the amount prizes (except the jackpot) will be multiplied if that number is drawn.
