AVILLA RESIDENT WINS $50,000 ON $500,000 RICHES
August 29, 2008

INDIANAPOLIS – Leonard Eldridge of Avilla stopped at an Auburn gas station this morning. Instead of getting fuel, he purchased a winning Hoosier Lottery $500,000 Riches Scratch-off ticket worth $50,000.

“I usually buy tickets once or twice a week,” he said. “I don’t like to play the beginning of a pack [of tickets].”

Eldridge purchased his winning $500,000 Riches Scratch-off ticket from Speedway at 1004 W. 7th Street in Auburn.

He hasn’t told anyone yet of his win and plans to pay bills with the money.

“I might do something fun,” he said. “I haven’t figured it out yet.”
