ATLANTA – A retired Buford groundskeeper has prepared the field for a lottery win. Charles Croy, a former Gainesville State College groundskeeper, matched all five winning numbers in the Aug. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing and won a $176,162 top prize.

Croy, 70, purchased his ticket at Exxon Food Mart, 924 Gainesville Highway in Buford. Winning numbers from the Aug. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-19-32-37-39. The grandfather of four watched the televised drawing in disbelief.

"I looked at the ticket and shouted to my wife, 'Honey, I have all five numbers,' " he said. "The feeling is amazing."

Croy, who retired from the college in February, and his wife, Patricia, have two adult children and will use the winnings to "help the nest egg."

"I consider myself lucky," he exclaimed. "I'm also excited about this lottery win."

Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Exxon Food Mart will receive a $6,000 retailer incentive bonus.
