HER FIRST VISIT TO VIRGINIA RESULTS IN $100,000 CASH 5 WIN

Kelly Robinson of Brooklyn, New York, came to Virginia to visit her nephew in Suffolk. She left with the $100,000 top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she said when she claimed her prize. “My hands were shaking. My heart was beating.”
Ms. Robinson matched all five numbers in the July 31, 2008, Cash 5 night drawing with a ticket she purchased at Farm Fresh, located at 3575 Shoulder Hill Bridge Road in Suffolk.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 6-13-18-23-30. She selected her numbers using family birthdays.
Ms. Robinson said the win came during her very first trip to Virginia. Asked if she intends to returns, she quickly relied, “Of course!”
Cash 5 drawings are held daily at 1:59 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The chances of winning the $100,000 top prize are 1 in 278,256.
