ELK CITY WOMAN CLAIMS OKLAHOMA CASH 5 WINNINGS

OKLAHOMA CITY – The number five proved to be Amanda La Farlette’s lucky number. The Oklahoma Cash 5 ticket the Elk City resident purchased for the May 1 drawing was worth $25,000 taxes paid.
A regular Lottery player, La Farlette’s favorite games are Powerball, Hot Lotto and Cash 5.
“I took a large stack of tickets to the store and the cashier told me to take one of my tickets to the Oklahoma City Lottery claims office,” La Farlette said. “I thought I had won $600.”
Once she checked the numbers online, La Farlette was pleasantly surprised to see she had won much more.
“I made everyone with me come in and look at the computer to make sure I entered the numbers correctly,” she said. “I would encourage others to play and for now, I plan on using the money to pay for medical bills.”
La Farlette purchased her winning ticket at the Circle K at 1256 Garth Brooks Boulevard in Yukon and chose her numbers through Easy Pick.
Oklahoma Lottery players are encouraged to check their tickets carefully and if they have the winning numbers to claim their prize at Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters in Oklahoma City.
