INDIANAPOLIS - Fannie Walker of Indianapolis was in her car while she scratched off her newly purchased $250,000 Jumbo Bucks Scratch-off ticket.
"I scratched the amount off and couldn't believe it," said Walker. "I had to put the ticket under my leg and start driving!"
Walker was headed to work. She currently works for a temp agency.
"Come on and give me a hug," said Walker to one of her co-workers after she told her of the $100,000 win. "She thinks it's pretty cool."
The Marion County resident purchased her winning ticket from BP #92210 at 6279 West 38th St. in Indianapolis. She plans to pay off her car and catch up on bills.
Susan Hein of Greencastle recently found out what it's like to have 8 times the luck. Hein played the Hoosier Lottery's new 8 Times the Luck Scratch-off game on Saturday, Aug. 9, the day after the game launched in retailer locations statewide.
"It was new and I thought we'd try it out," said Hein. She currently works two different jobs. "I'm turning in my two week notice today," said Hein. "This is enough to live comfortably so I can quit my second job!"
Hein purchased her $88,888 winning ticket from BP #52721 at 2628 East Main St. in Plainfield. There are seven remaining top prizes left on the 8 Times the Luck Scratch-off game.
All prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the drawing. Prizes greater than or equal to $50,000 must be claimed at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters. The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to play responsibly.
