ATLANTA – A Union City man has routed a quarter-million dollar lottery win in his direction. Raymond Knox, a driver examiner, matched the first five winning numbers in the July 22 Mega Millions drawing and won a $250,000 prize.
Nik Nak Convenience Store, 5000 Roosevelt Highway in Union City, sold the winning ticket. Knox used his own combination of numbers. Winning numbers from the July 22 Mega Millions drawing were 2-16-23-29-32 and the Mega Ball was 46.
The father of four received a phone call from a relative, who shared the good news.
"It still hasn't hit me yet," he said. "But I feel good because I've been planning for retirement."
Knox, 57, who works for the Georgia Department of Driver Services, plans to pay bills and make home improvements.
"I'm able to do everything that I've wanted done," he shared.
