$181,767 FANTASY 5 WINNER FROM PLACER COUNTY

SACRAMENTO – A 53-year-old Placer County man made a tidy sum of money over the weekend. While he prefers to remain anonymous, he and his wife did share their story with a California Lottery representative. “He had me double-check online,” the winner’s wife said as the two exchanged smiles. The couple, now more than $181,000 richer, said that they plan to pay off bills and “give it to the kids.” The winner plays Lottery games occasionally. His wife explained, “The most he’s won before is $68 playing SuperLOTTO Plus.”
This Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at a Chevron gas station at 1400 East Roseville Parkway. It’s the second significant winning ticket sold in Placer County in the past week. Last Tuesday an Auburn man won more than $200,000.
Fantasy 5 offers some of the best odds of any California Lottery game. A player wins the Fantasy 5 jackpot simply by matching five numbers out of a field of 39. The top prize starts at $50,000 and can top $500,000 depending on how many times the top prize rolls over (similar to SuperLOTTO Plus and MEGA Millions). Winning numbers are drawn every day.
