LOTO-QUÉBEC’S RENDEZ-VOUS SHINES A LIGHT ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY

Sherbrooke – Loto-Québec is delighted to invite the general public to visit the 11th edition of the Festival des traditions du monde in Sherbrooke. This popular and colourful gathering will be held from August 13th through 17th at Parc Central in the Fleurimont borough. Again this year, festival-goers will be treated to many surprising cultural offerings!
For this festive occasion, programming on Loto-Québec’s stage, located under the big top, promises wonderful performances. Visitors will have the opportunity to see shows by artists from the Congo, Peru, the Caribbean, Colombia, Mauritius and many other countries! They can also stroll over to Carrefour Loto-Québec, a meeting place where they can learn about different cultures through artwork exhibitions, dance and percussion workshops as well as tales and legends spun by raconteurs in a festive atmosphere celebrating cultural diversity and openness to the world. Throughout the 5?day festival, visitors may also experience Probabilitron, a fun initiative from Rendez?vous Loto-Québec that opens a window to the mysterious world of chance.
Loto-Québec would like to salute the involvement of some 300 volunteers who, through their tireless work, ensure the smooth development of this Eastern Township event that presents the artistic, sports, culinary and other traditions of almost one hundred countries. Every year, the Festival des traditions du monde in Sherbrooke attracts thousands of visitors to a great celebration of brotherhood and multiethnicity.
