PRESSURE TACTICS IN QUÉBEC CASINOS

Montréal – A number of Québec casino employees have refused to wear their regular uniform as a pressure tactic. Until now, this situation has been tolerated.
In order to ensure game integrity, employees such as croupiers are not permitted to wear pants with pockets. If these employees decide to wear jeans as their union representatives have suggested, this situation will not be tolerated.
Management at Québec’s three casinos reminded both union representatives and employees themselves of this directive. Consequently, employees in question who wear jeans to work will be asked to put on their work pants, failing which their behaviour will be considered as a refusal to work.
