MAHJONG TOURNAMENT AT RIVER ROCK BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Richmond, BC – Presented by River Rock Casino Resort and sponsored by British Columbia Lottery Corporation, the Mahjong Charity Open returns for a second year, taking place on Sunday, July 27, 2008.
Back by popular demand, the second annual Mahjong Charity Open offers fans the chance to compete for a total value of $20,000 in cash and prizes. The top prize is a seat to play in the World Series of Mahjong tournament at the Wynn Macau (valued at $5,000 plus flight and accommodations).
The entry fee is $20 per player with a maximum registration of 256 players. All entry fees will be donated to the Richmond Firefighters Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and serving the Richmond community.
"The Richmond Firefighters Society is extremely thankful to River Rock Casino Resort and British Columbia Lottery Corporation for the donations generated from the Mahjong tournament," said Tim Wilkinson, President of the Richmond Firefighters Society. "These donations allow our non-profit organization to continue our valuable work in the community."
