SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR CONNECTS FOR $200,000 TOP PRIZE

Diane Spisak of Richmond was on her way to her job as a hospital switchboard operator when she stopped to purchase a soft drink. She also purchased a Super Blackjack ticket from the Virginia Lottery, which she proceeded to scratch while she was still in the store. The ticket was a $200,000 winner!
“I couldn’t believe I was looking at it correctly,” she told Lottery officials. “I walked out of the store stunned.”
She purchased the winning ticket at A & A Convenience Store, located at 2739 Hungary Spring Road in Richmond.
Ms. Spisak said she intends to share the winnings with some co-workers. She also said she intends to use her winnings to get out of debt.
Super Blackjack is one of more than 50 games currently offered by the Virginia Lottery. Ms. Spisak is the second player to win the top prize in this game, which means there is one $200,000 ticket still out there.
