FIRST $1 MILLION WINNER ON MAX A MILLION

Victor A. Lefebvre of Southbridge is the first player to win $1 million on the new Max a Million game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. After claiming two smaller prizes on the new ticket, Lefebvre used his winnings to buy the grand prize ticket. He received his first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
He bought the lucky ticket at Charlton City Package on Worcester Road in Charlton. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.
Max a Million, a $10 game which hit stores last month, features 25 instant prizes of $1 million and eight instant prizes of $4 million. Overall, there are 14 million winning tickets in the game.
