HINSDALE GRANDMOTHER WINS $1 MILLION

Saundra J. Marcella, a grandmother from Hinsdale, became the latest Lottery instant millionaire when she won $1 million playing the $800 Million Spectacular. Marcella received her first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
She bought the lucky ticket at Price Chopper on Hubbard Avenue in Pittsfield. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.
Marcella is the 51st player to win $1 million on the $800 Million Spectacular. The $10 instant game features 20 prizes of $2.5 million and 80 prizes of $1 million. Overall, there are more than 27 million winning tickets in the game.
