WEST MONROE RESIDENT CLAIMS $5,000 TOP PRIZE FROM SCRATCH-OFF GAME

Cheryl Smith of West Monroe claimed a $5,000 top prize from a $5,000 Spin scratch-off ticket at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Monroe office.

Smith, age 42, purchased her winning ticket at Taz Mart on New Natchitoches Road in West Monroe.

With the chance to win up to five times on each ticket, $5,000 Spin features a total of 13 top prizes, with five remaining as of July 8.

According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all top prizes for the game have been claimed. Winners have 180 days to claim their winnings from the date of closure.
