INDIANAPOLIS – Gregory Smith of Bedford enjoys playing the newer Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off tickets, so when he stopped at the gas station for a soda, he also purchased a Gas for Life Scratch-off ticket. It was a top-prize winner of $78,000.
“I swerved around a little bit on the road,” he said, describing his reaction to discovering the win. “I’ve been a nervous wreck all day!”
“He called me three times,” said his wife Kim, who accompanied him to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters. “It is definitely exactly what we needed."
Smith purchased his winning Scratch-off ticket from Mac’s at 2456 E. State Road 46 in Nashville. He plans to use the $36,000 cash option to pay off his truck.
“It’s like a million dollars to me,” said Smith.
