Boise – John Naillon of Boise is the latest big Powerball winner in Idaho! Naillon won $400,000 on a Powerball/Powerplay ticket purchased for the Wednesday, June 25, 2008 drawing.
The winning numbers for that night’s draw were 14, 21, 25, 45, and 53. The Powerball was 9 and the PowerPlay multiplier was 2. PowerPlay is an option players select at the time of purchase. For an extra one dollar per play, players can multiply their nonjackpot winnings by 2 to 5 times depending on the number chosen for that particular draw. For Wednesday, June 25, 2008, the multiplier was 2.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers but not the Powerball itself. Matching all five numbers is normally a $200,000 winning ticket. The PowerPlay multiplier was 2, turning the ticket into a $400,000 winner.
Naillon’s $400,000 winning ticket is one of the largest Powerball/PowerPlay winner in Idaho since the PowerPlay feature was added to Powerball in 2001.
The winning ticket was sold at the Jacksons Food Store #28 located at 6350 Fairview in Boise. For their part in selling the ticket, Jacksons receives a bonus of $25,000.
