MILL CREEK MAN WINS $50,000 IN WASHINGTON LOTTERY'S HIT 5

OLYMPIA – Harry Platis of Mill Creek nearly "jumped out of his loafers" when he discovered he had a winning ticket in Monday night's Hit 5 drawing.
"When I saw the numbers, I had to do a double take," said Platis. One of two Cashpot winners in Monday's drawing, Platis split the $100,000 top prize with when he matched all five numbers – 13-17-22-24-34 .
Committed to giving back, Platis will use his winnings to help cover some medical bills for his nephew who is battling cancer.
Platis purchased his ticket at the Fred Meyer located at 2041 148 th Avenue NE in Bellevue.
