NEW JERSEY SELLS ONE WINNING $250,000 TICKET AS MEGA MILLIONS ROLLS TO $43 MILLION

TRENTON, NJ – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000 for the Friday, June 27 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Essex County , was purchased at News Day, located at 100 Mulberry Street in the Lobby of Gateway 111 in the City of Newark .
“Congratulations to News Day ,” said the Lottery's Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain. “ For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $500. They have become one of the Lottery's most recent ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
While there was no top-prize winner, 43,058 other New Jersey players took home $183,549 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Jourdain.
The winning numbers for the Friday, June 27 drawing were: 08, 14, 22, 39, and 50 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 44. With no winner of the top prize, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to $43,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, July 2 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
