ATLANTA – An Albany woman is feeling great about winning the lottery. Debbie Lowther, 45, was randomly selected in the June 20 Georgia's Millionaire Club drawing and won $5,000, along with a chance to win $10 million.
The grandmother of two was watching the televised drawing when her name was called.
"I was pretty excited," she said. "I had goose bumps all over."
Lowther has two adult sons and is an office manager for an outdoor power equipment company. She plans to pay bills with her winnings.
Georgia's Millionaire Club weekly drawings are held in conjunction with the instant game Georgia's $500 Million Club. Each weekly Georgia's Millionaire Club winner will receive $5,000 and become a finalist in the Extra Chance $10 Million Grand Prize Drawing.
