HAZELWOOD WOMAN CLAIMS $1 MILLION POWERBALL PRIZE

A Hazelwood woman claimed a $1 million prize won using Powerball’s Power Play feature. Patty Bigbee, 43, won the $1 million prize when her ticket matched all five white-ball numbers drawn June 11 to win the second-level prize of $200,000. Since she used the $1 Power Play feature and the Power Play number drawn was five, the prize multiplied to $1 million.
Bigbee credits her fiancé with the $1 million win.
"He wanted me to play Powerball, but I told him that I never win playing that game," Bigbee said. "I guess I can’t say that now.
Bigbee purchased her winning ticket at Howdershell BP, 6250 Howdershell Road in Hazelwood. She let the computer select the winning numbers: 7, 18, 21, 28 and 49.
Bigbee said she plans to use her winnings to buy a house, a car, share with her friends and family and treat her cat, Black, "like royalty."
