ATLANTA – An Atlanta auditor is flying high over a lottery win. Patricia Huntley is one of two players to win $318,206 each by matching all five winning numbers in the June 16 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Huntley is employed by Delta Community Credit Union, which was originally founded to service Delta Air Lines employees. Five Delta Air Lines employees have already won substantial Georgia Lottery prizes in 2008.
"I'm very thankful. I'm happy," she exclaimed. "I'll probably take a vacation."
Winning numbers from the June 16 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 9-10-16-26-33. Cascade Food Mart, 3580 Cascade Road S.W. in Atlanta, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. The second top prize ticket was purchased in Marietta.
Delta Air Lines employees who have won large lottery prizes this year include:
* Delta pilot John Huefner of Peachtree City won $1 million in January from the Holiday Millionaire Raffle drawing.
* Kristen Diloreto of Cumming, a Delta flight attendant, also won $1 million in January playing Georgia's $500 Million Club.
* Theresa McMichen of Jonesboro, a Delta customer service agent, won $250,000 playing Mega Millions in March.
* Harold Ellis of Douglasville, a part-time Delta data entry clerk, also won $97,681 in March playing Fantasy 5.
* Delta machinist David Stafford of Fayetteville won $250,000 playing $150,000,000 Slots of Luck in May.
Huntley's husband, Arthur, who watched the televised drawing, shared the good news with his wife. The couple have one adult son.
"I went to the computer to make sure," she said. "Then, I called my best friend, my mom and my son.
"I'm starting to see retirement in sight," added Huntley, 60.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Cascade Food Mart will receive a $7,000 retailer incentive bonus.
