Michelle Schoenecker of Chisago won the $26,000 Northstar Cash jackpot from the drawing on June 10, 2008. The second line of her two-line ticket matched the winning numbers of 5-17-26-27-29 to win the jackpot.

“I just started buying them [Northstar Cash tickets] a couple of weeks ago because people were winning,” Schoenecker stated as she claimed her prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville earlier today.

The winning ticket was purchased at Scandia Store, 14758 Oakhill Road in Scandia.

A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $27,000 from the drawing on June 8, 2008 (sold in Hennepin County) and a jackpot worth $25,000 from the drawing on July 25, 2007 (sold in Ramsey County) have not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
