VILLISCA WOMAN WINS $30,000 ON HER BIRTHDAY!

DES MOINES, Iowa - A southwest Iowa woman recently won the top prize in an Iowa Lottery scratch game.
Lisa Estep of Villisca won $30,000 playing the “Crossword” (purple newsprint) instant-scratch game. She purchased the winning ticket at Villisca Foods, 509 S. Third Ave. in Villisca and claimed her prize at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Council Bluffs.
She bought the ticket and claimed the prize on the same day - her 43rd birthday!
“I'm kinda like, still in shock,” Estep laughed as she claimed her prize. “I told everybody, ‘This is the best birthday present I ever got.’”
Estep said she has several ways she is going to use her prize money.
“I'm going to pay our house taxes, and I was in an accident a year and a half ago and I'm going to pay [those bills],” she said. “I'm going to get a used car…and then we're going to work on our house…. This really helped out a bunch.”
