June 13, 2008

ATLANTA – A Fulton County poll worker is feeling great about winning the lottery. Maynese Ushery was randomly selected in the June 6 Georgia's Millionaire Club drawing, winning $5,000 along with a chance to win $10 million.

Ushery, 49, was watching the televised drawing when her name was called.

"I knew it was me," she said. "I jumped up and down and screamed."

Ushery, a poll worker for the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections, plans to pay bills with her winnings.
