BROKEN ARROW RESIDENT WINS $200K PLAYING POWERBALL
June 4, 2008
OKLAHOMA CITY – Jodi Snyder, a Broken Arrow resident, won $200,000 on May 31 playing Powerball.
Snyder has been playing the Lottery for years but started playing Powerball when it launched in Oklahoma. Her strategy is three plays per drawing.
“I was in shock when I realized I had won,” she said. “I had to show my husband to confirm it.”
Snyder purchased her winning ticket at Kum & Go at 10032 S. Mingo in Tulsa and used her family’s birthdays to choose her numbers. She plans on spending her winnings on her children’s education, home improvements and vacation.
“We still can’t believe it,” said her husband, Pete.
The Snyders are glad the Lottery helps fund Oklahoma education. “We have kids in school so it’s great,” said Snyder.
