$10,000 POWERBALL PRIZE FOR IOWA WOMAN

Courtney Hiner of Honey Creek, Iowa recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 17,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Saturday, May 31, drawings. Among these winners was Hiner, who purchased her winning Powerball ticket at Kum & Go, 720 North 108th Ave in Omaha. The ticket contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (3, 09, 14, 17, 25) and the Powerball number (8) from the May 31 drawing for a corresponding $10,000 prize.

One hundred and eighty-six Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
