Steve Long of St. Louis Park won the $55,878 Northstar Cash jackpot from the drawing on May 23, 2008. The third line on his three-line quick-pick ticket matched the winning numbers of 8-15-19-20-25 to win the jackpot. He claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville earlier today.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cub Foods, 3717 Lexington Ave. N. in Arden Hills.
A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $25,000 from the drawing on July 25, 2007 (sold in Ramsey County) has not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
