DES MOINES, Iowa - A Clinton man recently received quite the college graduation gift!
Shane Dixon of Clinton won $50,000 playing the “Trump Card” instant-scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 901 S. Fourth St. in Clinton.
Dixon, 23, just graduated from college a few weeks ago!
“I was in the car with a couple of my buddies and they about crashed…I had to double-check [the ticket] about eight times!” said Dixon.
Dixon plans to pay off some of his school loans and buy a new car with his winnings.
When asked if he continues to play the lottery, Dixon replied, “I'll be playing scratch tickets!”
Dixon claimed his prize at the Iowa Lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.
