That’s how Charles Mason of Charlottesville described the moment he discovered he had won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game.
Mr. Mason, who worked for several years as a custodian and bus driver for Charlottesville City Public Schools, won the top prize in the May 15, 2008, Cash 5 day drawing.
The winning numbers were 5-8-11-23-31. He selected his numbers using important family dates and numbers. He bought the winning ticket at Seven Day Junior, located at 111 Maury Avenue in Charlottesville.
Mr. Mason said he intends to use his winnings to pay bills and maybe take a trip.
